Strong Defense For Your Drunk Driving Arrest
DUI is among the most common arrests made by police, but the effects of a DUI conviction can stretch through the rest of your life. It would be easy enough to see these cases as simple cut-and-dry situations, to use a standard bag of tricks to move clients through as quickly as possible, but the truth is that defending those accused of a DUI can be a very complicated matter.
You don't want to have this arrest which could affect your ability to work, to drive and to even stay out of jail, to be handled as routine and impersonal. You want an attorney who is committed to defending each and every case as vigorously as possible, and who will treat you not as just another client but as an individual. Please contact us if you have been charged with DWI.
The Necessity Of Good Defense
There are several various penalties that the State of New Jersey may hand down if you have been convicted of a DUI. A DUI conviction can lead to:
- Loss of license including suspension and revocation
- Expensive fines and increased insurance costs
- Job loss
- Loss of access to opportunities and new careers
- Jail time
You can't afford to have a lawyer working for you who will simply accept the pleas bargains that are offered. At Attorneys Hartman, Chartered, we have spent our careers defending our neighbors in the South Jersey area, and are committed to being involved with our clients as people. You're not just another client.
The Elements Of Good Defense
DUI cases are not so simple as looking at breathalyzer readout, and there are numerous factors that go into a good legal defense.
- Did the arresting officer have probable cause for a stop?
- Was evidence gathered legally?
- Did the officer properly administer a field sobriety test?
- If a breathalyzer was used, was it properly calibrated and used correctly?
- If a blood test was acquired, was it handled properly?
- Where your rights violated at any point?
