Francis J. Hartman, Esquire is Of Counsel to the firm. He has been practicing law since his graduation from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1955. Frank is a nationally recognized litigator who is extremely active in, not only the practice of law, but numerous attorney organizations. He is on the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and is a past president of NBTA. He is a former member of the Board of Directors, past secretary and treasurer of National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a former member of the Executive Committee and Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice. He is a former president of the American Association for Justice -New Jersey. He is a former president of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Southern New Jersey Chapter. He is a former president of Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. He is a former trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association and former chair of the Criminal Justice Section. He was also the president of the Burlington County Bar Association and the Law Alumni Society of St. Joseph's University as well as the Brehon Law Society. In October of 2004, he as labeled one of South Jersey's "Awesome Attorneys" by South Jersey Magazine. He has been named one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for almost 20 years. He has been named one of the ten leaders of Criminal Defense law in Southern and Central New Jersey.
Francis Hartman has been involved in numerous high profile cases including The State of New Jersey v. Robert Marshall, where he represented the alleged hit man who was ultimately acquitted. That trial has been made into a book and movie called "Blind Faith".
Additionally, Frank has been speaker for National AAJ, the New Jersey State Bar Association, Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, as well as lawyer's groups throughout the country.
Francis is an approved member of the Fraternal Order of Police Legal Defense Plan, the PBA Legal Defense Plan, and the State Troopers Association and Noncommissioned Officers Legal Defense Plan.
Frank takes extreme pride in his daughter's talents and skill as attorneys. Asked if he loves the law, Hartman responds, "It's more than that, the law defines me".
